How should I install my batteries?
 
 
All batteries must be elevated at least a 100mm from the ground. A wooden pallet is ideal.
 
 
The platform must be perforated, this will allow for proper ventilation.
 
 
Final resting place must be on any a non-metal surface i.e. timber, rubber, plastic etc.
 
 
Ensure that batteries are spaced at least 20mm apart from one and other.
 
 
Avoid direct sunlight at all times!
 
 
Do not install batteries near any ovens, below sunroofs, in ceilings, in barns, near geysers, open flames i.e. fire places or at a wall that gets hot from any of the mentioned.
 
 
Final resting place must be well ventilated to ensure fresh cool air from entering.
 
 
Important: The final resting place must NOT exceed above 25°C (degrees celsius)
 
 
It is highly recommended to install an extractor fan, this will help to keep the area cool.
 
 
It is important to keep the batteries cool at all times as AGM Deep-Cycle Batteries do generate internal heat due to resistance from charging and discharge. Failing to do so will cause the batteries to fail prematurely and thus void the guarantee. 
 
 
How should I charge my batteries?
AGM Batteries must be charged between 10% & 15% of the total ah (amp hour) of the bank/s.
 
Example 1:
 
48v battery bank with 4 / 12v, 200ah batteries = 200ah. Max charging current – 30amps.
 
Example 2:
 
24v battery bank with 2 / 12v, 200ah batteries = 200ah. Max charging current – 30amps.
 
Example 3:
 
48v battery bank with 8 / 12v, 200ah batteries = 400ah. Max charging current – 60amps.
 
Example 4:
 
24v battery bank with 4 / 12v, 200ah batteries = 400ah. Max charging current – 60amps.
 
 
The ideal charging current is 10%. Remember, there is an average of 10 hours of sunlight in South-Africa during the day thru out the year. Meaning no need to rush the charging.  Also ensure that your charger, inverter or charge controller is set on the AGM setting. Bulk charging for AGM Batteries must not to exceed 13,80volts per 12v battery.
Over charging i.e. higher current or voltage than recommended will cause the battery to fail and thus void the guarantee.
